The further values of the forecast predict the exports
of Peru’s garlic in the maximum and minimum range for 2024. Evaluating the
values of Peruvian garlic, it will go through a fluctuation of exports and
depending on the severity of climatic conditions in Peru, might even fall in
2024.
The drought-like situation and the frequent storm
alerts such as El Niño could bring a disruption in the farming of garlic in
Peru, since the similar conditions of unfavorable weather and droughts in some
main garlic farming regions brought production levels down for Spain in 2022.
Peruvian garlic exports always climb high during
winter (in November and December mainly). The disruptions of the supply chain
in the world’s biggest garlic market in China and the aforementioned condition
of the garlic market in Spain gave Peru an upper hand this year.
